Description
Powered by the 390 horsepower 4.2 litre V8 from Ferrari, the Maserati Spyder was presented to the public in September 2001, one year ahead of the coupé. Initially the rapid cabriolet was offered exclusively with the sequential Cambiocorsa 6-speed gearbox. From 2002 alternatively also a manual 6-speed gearbox was available. Most customers choose to shift gears via paddles and so, until 2007, a respectable 3’134 Spyder Cambiocorsa left the Modenese works. The example offered is a Swiss delivery and was registered as a demo by Garage de l’Athénée in Cointrin on the 21st of May 2003. Most probably in December of the same year the Spyder was then handed over to its first owner. After a change of ownership around 2007, the Maserati was taken over by its last registered keeper in July 2023 and since then has been used for summer outings. With apparently only three private owners, 45’000 kilometres and a service booklet the sporty spider is in beautiful and well-maintained original condition. The last MOT was completed in August 2024, allowing the new owner to enjoy spring with his new toy immediately.
