Beschreibung:

Der Ghibli Cup wurde direkt aus der Open Cup Rennversion abgeleitet und für den Einsatz auf öffentlichen Straßen modifiziert. Auf der Bologna Motor Show im Dezember 1995 vorgestellt, wurde der 2,0-Liter-V6 mit 330 PS bei 6.500 U/min angegeben, was dem Fahrzeug eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 270 km/h bescherte und es zum damals leistungsstärksten 2,0-Liter-Serienauto der Welt machte. Das Drehmoment ist mit über 350 Nm von 3.250 bis 6.700 U/min sehr konstant. Im Vergleich zum normalen Ghibli ist die Aufhängung abgesenkt und versteift. Die vorderen Bremsscheiben sind gebohrt und mit Brembo-Bremssätteln ausgestattet. Äußerlich ist das Fahrzeug an 5-Speichen-Speedline-Leichtmetallrädern und dem Rennsport-Aluminium-Tankdeckel zu erkennen.
