Description
With the competition left and right presenting sensational mid-engined supercar designs, Maserati, a stalwart of fast front-engined gentleman GTs, finally conceded and, in 1970, presented the sensational Giugiaro designed Bora. As one of only 289 Boras built with the 4.7 litre V8, this Maserati was first delivered on the 7th March 1972 in Italy. In 1976 the sports car was imported into Switzerland and registered here in June of the same year. After a longer period of inactivity, the Coupé was acquired by the vendor last year. He had the complete hydraulic system overhauled, the carburettors, water pump and fuel tank as well as the aluminium rims revised and new tyres installed. Receipts for around 30’000 francs for all the work are available. Correspondingly, the technical side of the car is in very good condition. The coachwork in its original “Rosso Cordoba” is in very good condition and the white leather interior is in lovely original shape. This rare mid-engined Maserati has completed around 104’000 kilometres and will be sold to a new enthusiast with the last Veteran MOT completed in December 2023.
