The most significant design feature of the 3200 GT was the boomerang shaped rear LED operated lights, a feature which disappeared again towards the end of 2001 with the introduction of the subsequent Maserati Coupé. Of a total of 4’795 examples built, 2’106 were equipped with an automatic gearbox. “Our” GT is a Swiss delivered example and was acquired by the vendor on the 29th of October 2001 through the Walter Hasler AG in Frick. The new car in «Blu Nettuno Metallizata» with a black leather interior, a 3.2 litre V8 biturbo engine, automatic gearbox, electronically operated skyhook suspension and front seats with memory function then cost more than 130’000 Swiss francs. The sporting two plus two was enthusiastically used and always carefully maintained. With now 69’500 kilometres driven and a complete service booklet, the Maserati presents itself in good to very good and well-maintained original condition. The last MOT of this luxury coupé was completed in May 2021 but for a Swiss buyer the car will of course receive a new MOT after the auction.
