The 1975 Lotus Elite was a bold step for Lotus, featuring a distinctive shooting-brake design and advanced engineering. It was powered by a 2.0 litre Lotus 907 inline-four engine, producing around 155hp, paired with a five-speed manual or optional automatic transmission. The fiberglass body kept weight low, improving handling, while the rear-wheel-drive setup ensured a sporty feel. Unlike previous Lotus models, the Elite focused on luxury, offering a more refined interior with leather and wood trim. This new model was praised for its handling and innovation.

This 1975 Lotus Elite presents extremely well in bright red coachwork and a contrasting beige interior. The 'pop-up' headlights function as they should and the chromework appears to be in good order. This enthusiast owned four-seat British sportscar benefitted from an earlier restoration. During our vendors tenure this impressive Lotus has always been used sparingly and garaged.
