Description

The Lotus Elise was introduced in Autumn 1996 as a two-seat, Rear wheel drive, Mid-engined Roadster. The Elise was built around an aluminium chassis with a hand finished fibreglass body which weighed in at just 725kg. This ‘Light Is Right’ philosophy made for a very agile car with an exceptionally low centre of gravity. The S2 Elise was announced in October 2000 and was powered by a Rover K Series 1.8 litre engine which produces 122 bhp and propels the car from 0-60mph in just 5.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 125mph.

The Lotus Elise S2 Type 49 offered here at Autostorico is a 2003 “03 plate” which is finished in Ardent Red over Old English White with dividing gold stripe and Scarlet Red interior trim. Having covered a mere 13,730 miles this stunning three owner example, was supplied through Gordon Lamb Ltd in Sheffield a Lotus main agent. Specification highlights include Factory hard top, 17” Alloy wheels, Leather steering wheel, Black Alcantara dashtop, Perforated leather seats, Radio fitting kit, Aluminium window winders and Carpet mats.

Supplied with a history file including original book pack, Invoices and MOT certificates.

This is the perfect opportunity to own an unmolested British Sportscar classic which will certainly appreciate further over time.
