1966-68 Lotus 47 Race Car (Not a Historical Chassis Number 47) | This well sorted weapons grade race car beat the 911 Porsches when new and recently up to 2.5 liters at Barber, Road Atlanta, Mid Ohio, Sebring, etc., in the hand of 4 time SCCA and HSR 7 time National Champion Jim Roberts. Shown at the Hilton Head Concours twice (2003 and 2016). Dressed in gold leaf team Lotus colors with a 1565CC Lotus block and big valve head, built by Ted Wentz, 192HP @ 8000 RPM, run time under 3 Hours, 1300LB race weight, Hewland close ratio (3 Gearsets) Rhino Case w/sheets, shifts with precise long throws, racing flywheel and clutch, rear suspension has a Porsche 930 Turbo CV joints and outboard rotors rather than the original Roto-Flex rubber joints and inboard brakes, accepted by HMSA, SVRA, and HSR, winning its class and group in all three!
