Description
The Range Rover, the Land Rover brand's iconic model, was the pioneer in the 1980s of a new car segment that is very much in vogue today, that of the top-of-the-range all-terrain vehicle. Its ability to move about on all types of terrain while providing its occupants with great comfort is impressive and has made it a benchmark in its segment to this day.
Put into circulation on 31 December 1984, our vehicle is registered in France in the name of the owner who acquired it in September 2022. It would have known at least 4 owners, the last but one having bought the vehicle out of the barn to restore it completely. The odometer shows 119,103 km and has been driven approximately 100 km with current owner. It has spare keys and is accompanied by numerous invoices. The car has not been damaged and has been fully restored, keeping as many original parts as possible in order to give the car a second life without losing its authenticity: this is why we have chosen to leave some of the original parts, even though they have a certain patina. Histovec and Carvertical gears blank and available, maintenance up to date.
ENGINE AND GEARBOX
The Range Rover is the benchmark for off-roading thanks to its permanent four-wheel drive, advanced suspension and torquey 3500cc V8 coupled to a smooth-running five-speed manual gearbox. Once started, the V8 stabilizes very quickly and offers a nice, torquey revving up without any dip in power. Under the bonnet of this "Range", an overhaul including filter changes and fluid replacement was done in January 2022. Prior to this, numerous repairs and maintenance were carried out, contact us for more information.
EXTERIOR
The Range Rover's proportions are timeless and make it the purest incarnation of 4x4. The Limestone exterior paintwork is the original colour, suits it perfectly and has recently been completely redone. The car is therefore in very good condition with some minor defects. The original 16" steel rims have been sandblasted, repainted and are fitted with off-road tyres. In terms of corrosion, there is no perforating rust on the wheel arches or underbody, only surface corrosion is visible on the chassis.
INTERIOR
The interior offers a high driving position and is made of beige velvet which contrasts with the black plastics of the dashboard. As well as being an adventurous vehicle, the Range Rover offers comfort to its five occupants with radio, air conditioning, etc. The seats and rear bench have been completely redesigned, as has the boot carpet. The carpets at the feet of the occupants show some signs of wear but do not require upholstery work and the steering wheel shows some patina. The instruments are in working order. There is a spare wheel in the boot.
CONSUMABLES
The 2016 Michelin 4x4 O/R off-road tyres, size 205/80R16, are in very good condition considering the distance travelled since they were changed. The braking ensures good stopping distances and does not require any work.
