Description
Range Rover Classic “007 Octopussy Edition” by Empire Projects
Taking inspiration from the famous Roger Moore's cabriolet Range Rover starred in the 1983 007 film Operation Octopussy, Empire Projects build a special Restomod Range Rover edition.
Developing a unique design with the aim of maintaining the concept of the film but adapting it to modern standards of drivability and reliability, we gave a legendary icon of the 80's glamour back to life. The restoration process is the meticulous result of decades of know-how and eperience in Land Rover classics.
the fully restored 1992 Range Rover 2.5 had the roof removed and the structure reinforced to grant resistence and tortion. just as in the film concept, the original five-seat configuration is disrupted. The rear seats have been removed and replaced by two side benches that better utilize the freed up space, bringing the seats from five to eight. materials used for the interior are designed for topless use. All seats have been upholstered in nautical sky and the carpets replaced with hydrophobic material so that they can guarantee resistance to climatic agents and real practicality in everyday use.
the vehicle was invited to take part in Poltu Quatu Classic Concours D'élégance 2023 and the St. Moritz British Car Classic Meeting 2024 (https://www.classicdriver.com/en/article/sponsored-content/british-classic-car-meeting-2024-brought-safari-style-st-moritz) as icon of british style and extravagant taste.
