The 1988 Range Rover Vogue SE four door, also known as the “Forecourt,” stands as a testament to British automotive excellence. No other car was as versatile and luxurious as the Classic 4x4 Range Rover first introduced in 1970. The four-door version was introduced in 1981 and added a layer of luxury to the Classic Range Rover.
Powered by the legendary 3.5L V8 EFI petrol engine producing 163 hp, and paired with a smooth 4-speed ZF automatic transmission, the Range Rover offers robust performance with cruising comfort at 120–130 km/h. The permanent four-wheel drive system, complete with a lockable central differential and high-low range transfer case, ensures outstanding off-road capability without compromising on-road refinement. And with an interior more often found in a luxurious Grand Touring car of the period, you really only need one car for on or off-road duties.

This restored 1988 Range Rover Vogue SE in Chamonix White was originally delivered in Madrid, Spain and has remained in exceptional condition throughout its life, thanks to meticulous maintenance and a dry climate ideal for vehicle preservation.
One owner from 1988 to 2001, the Range Rover was never driven off road and was always well maintained by specialised workshops in the Madrid area, following the recommended service interval of Land Rover and passing each annual MOT in Spain.

In 2001 the Range Rover was sold to a new owner, also in Spain, who would keep the car for 19 years. In 2018 he orchestrated a comprehensive restoration using mostly genuine parts or OEM parts when original parts were not available.
The list of work is long and includes: full body repair and paint, complete revision of bare chassis, complete revision of the engine and gearbox, the electrics, shock absorbers, suspension bushes, front and rear brake calipers, discs, brake pads, complete new upholstery in light grey with dark grey piping as per original, new rubber on all doors and tailgate. The list goes on and covers the entire car and can be forwarded together with photos on request. All work done with specialist workshops.
All the period features of the Range Rover Vogue SE are intact and in working order such as high pressure headlamp washers, aircon, heated mirrors for quick defog, electric windows all around including the rear window, central lock and Hella long range auxiliary lights. The rear seats fold to allow further capacity to the already large storage compartment.

Following its full 18-month restoration in 2018, this iconic Range Rover Vogue SE blends classic Range Rover design with the usability of a restored Range Rover and has been used for summer driving by the current, third, owner.
The Range Rover remains in lovely, restored condition and is the perfect mix of classic appeal and full functionality on the road.
