For 2016, Land Rover announced three special-edition, limited-production Defender models to celebrate the end of their iconic 4x4’s extraordinary 67-year production run. The Defender 90 offered here is an outstanding, one-owner example of the highly sought-after Adventure Edition, of which a mere 600 were built for the UK market.

Aimed at devoted off-roading enthusiasts, the aptly named Adventure Edition was factory equipped with an intake snorkel, LED projector headlamps, clear turn indicators, heritage mud flaps, Alpine stereo, additional underbody protection, and an uprated 148 hp engine, among many other desirable features. Finished in vibrant Phoenix Orange metallic paint with contrasting Santorini Black trim, this limited-edition Land Rover features premium Ebony Windsor leather upholstery and special 16” gloss black split-spoke diamond-turned alloy wheels.

This one-year-only Defender 90 was delivered new to its first and only owner, a London-based collector who has treated it to meticulous maintenance and limited use throughout her ownership. Presented today in pristine condition, this Adventure Edition has been serviced by accredited Land Rover garages and displayed just 7,747 miles at the time of cataloguing. Equally at home in city traffic as it is exploring the great outdoors, the Defender 90 is one of the all-time great off-road vehicles and an undisputed icon of postwar British motoring.
