The Defender has been a true icon. Robust, reliable, recognisable and a true ally to generations of craftsmen and off-road driving enthusiasts. It has over the years become a car that has transcended its origins as an industrial vehicle. Introduced in 1948 as Series I, it remained in production until 2016, until production ended at the historic factory in Solihull, England. Used as a civilian and military version and produced in a plethora of variants, it has served and will continue to serve a large number of professionals for years to come.
This 2000 example is an interesting 3-door Station Wagon version equipped with the 2000 2.5-litre diesel engine. Used for years by the Veneto Carabinieri legion in the Guardia Forestale. Still in its original green livery, it is an interesting Defender ready for a new life as both a work and collector's vehicle.
