An original 1965 Lancia Flavia 1800 Sport "Zagato" Coupe totally untouched from new and imported to Australia in the late 70\'s from the UK. The Lancia Flavia was Designed by Antonio Fessia in 1961 and was inspired by his Cemsa prototype of 1947, The most outrageous yet least acknowledged Lancia Zagato was the 1.8 litre Flavia. Designed by Ercole Spada, Zagato\'s main man of the era, it possessed some earlier Zagato styling cues, such as the windows into the roofline, which echoed the Panoramic Fiats of the early fifties. It was streamlined, but Zagato did not work with a wind tunnel, they worked by feel, drew the car up on a full sized board and then started hammering. The Flavia was Italy\'s first series-production car to employ front-wheel drive and in 1963 the range was updated with a 1,800cc engine, which when installed in the Sport Zagato produced 100bhp, good enough for a top speed of 187km/h.

Only 670 Flavia Sport Zagatos were produced between 1962 and 1967 and only 25 examples were built in RHD this example is one of those very rare cars still to exist. This particular Flavia 1800 Sport Zagato is complete with her matching engine, gearbox, original body and interior and will require a full ground up restoration to bring her back to her former glory or for some collectors keep her the way she is as a "BARN FIND" survivor. Offered in totally unrestored condition, one of only 25 cars built in RHD for the world, full aluminium body original throughout.
