Description
Chassis no. 2814
Engine no. 3072 Assembly of this car began on 23 September 1953, and its delivery in Italy on 14 October 1953.
Still equipped with its original engine.
Exported to England in 1961, to Hereford where it was modified and prepared for racing.
It returned to Italy in 2006 and subsequently underwent a complete work, which included restoration of all the original components that had been transformed or lost during the car’s time in England. The restoration began in 2008 and was completed in 2015. Several invoices documenting this work.
During the complete bodywork restoration, the Aurelia was repainted in its original gray color, which is combined with Lancia gray cloth interiors.
One of the only 720 Series III Aurelias produced with the 2.5-liter V6 engine, which has a maximum output of 118 HP. During the restoration, the engine (original) was completely overhauled, including the reconstruction, among other things, of the rare white metal bearings. The engine fuel supply system, suspensions, brakes, transmission and steering box were all restored, too.
The car is equipped with a period radio, which has been updated to work on FM.
This is a Mille Miglia eligible car which holds the ASI certificate of historical importance.
