Description
In the early 70s Lamborghini gave birth to the Urraco, introducing an innovative four-seater vehicle with a mid mounted engine. It reppresented the company's attempt to occupy a new segment of the market, with a more practical and affordable vehicle than the top of the range V12 supercars.
A new transversally-mounted V8 engine was developed for the purpose. In the launch version, the P250, the displacement was 2.5l. In the following years two more iterations were presented: the P200, which had a 2.0l engine, and the P300, equipped with a more powerful 3.0l engine.
It was designed by Marcello Gandini, working for Bertone at the time.
This particular car is a P250S. The latter letter distinguishes this car from the P250 for the addition of leather seating, electric windows and air conditioning.
Whilst being more than 50 years old now, this car it is in splendid shape.
The car features the original interior, incredibly well preserved.
The paint and bodywork are really well kept.
The engine has gone through a total restoration.
Overall this is a fantastic example of this model.
