Description

Chassis No. ZHWGU8AJ9DLA12834

The 1973 Urraco marked Lamborghini's initial venture into volume production models, resulting in a commercial hiccup that threatened the company's survival. Following multiple ownership transitions, Lamborghini, under the stewardship of Audi AG since 1998, embarked on a new endeavor in 2003. Lamborghini's development of a new, accessible model, incorporating Audi's technical expertise and global supply chain, culminated in the Gallardo platform that would surpass a remarkable 10,000 sales by 2010.

During the final years of its decade-long production, the platform underwent substantial engineering refinements that included an enlarged 5.2-liter powerplant, increased power output, and specialized variants like the lightweight Superleggera and the driver-focused, rear-wheel drive Valentino Balboni edition. The 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show marked the debut of a new variant, the Gallardo 570-4 Spyder Performante, which integrated the Superleggera's performance architecture into an open-top configuration. By extensively implementing carbon fiber-reinforced plastic composites throughout its construction-from aerodynamic elements to interior components-and replacing conventional leather with motorsport-grade Alcantara, the engineers in Sant'Agata achieved a notable 143-pound reduction compared to the standard Gallardo Spyder.

Like the Superleggera on which it was based, the Spyder Performante housed a 5.2-liter V10 powerplant, with "LP" denoting its longitudinal rear positioning, "570" referencing the engine's output in PS, and "4" indicating the sophisticated all-wheel drive system. Paired with Lamborghini's e-gear six-speed automated manual transmission, performance metrics included blistering acceleration from zero to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds and a maximum velocity of 201 mph. This special Gallardo variant melds extreme performance dynamics with the visceral sensation of open-air motoring, as only a retractable soft top mounted above a screaming V10 powerplant can deliver.

This attractive 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante is presented in classic Bianco Monocerous with a Nero soft top which retracts to reveal a full Nero Perseus Alcantara interior. It's impressive specification, with an original sticker price of $269,545, also includes numerous essential grand touring amenities including the Travel Package, Multimedia System+, floor mats, HomeLink system, rearview camera, Interior Chrome Package, and an anti-theft system. The accompanying clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report suggests that the Lamborghini was sold new through Bespoke Motor Group in Jericho, New York, and registered to its original owner shortly thereafter in May 2013. The car remained registered in New York, receiving regular maintenance from the selling dealer until 2021 when the Spyder was relocated to Maryland. Now offered with just 2,941 miles at the time of cataloging and numerous delivery items, this spectacular Spyder Performante model from the final year of Gallardo production offers a masterful synthesis of Lamborghini's decade-long refinement of the platform.
