The development of the Lamborghini Countach was initiated by Ferruccio Lamborghini with the goal of creating a successor to the Lamborghini Miura.The Countach was designed around the existing Lamborghini V12 engine in a rear mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout. 1982 saw another update to the Countach, This time a bigger, more powerful 4.8 L engine. The bodywork was unaltered, however, the interior was given an update and only 321 cars were built with 37 being RHD. This beautiful example was delivered new to Portman Lamborghini in January 1983.
