Description

Lamborghini Countach LP400

The LP400 is without question one of the most iconic cars ever designed. When it was presented at the Paris Motor Show in 1974, it must have looked like a futuristic space shuttle.
Hardly any other car has hung as a poster in our children's rooms so often - at least if you were a child of that time.
It is not without reason that it is one of the most sought-after classics today. Especially the original shape of the LP400 with its clear design unadulterated by the spoilers of later generations and the "Periscopio" roof tunnel. The Countach's timeless design will forever be held in high regard by any true enthusiast.
This particular example started its life in Germany where it was sold new. It was delivered to its first owner in red with a black interior. Shortly thereafter, it made its way to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. Finally, after spending more than a decade basking in the Sunshine State - where the interior was reupholstered to yellow - it made its way to Sweden.
On May 10th, 1989, this LP 400 arrived in Gothenburg to Rune Svensson, a Volvo Transport director and an active member of the International Lamborghini owners club. He cherished the Countach for almost 15 years until 2005 when the car was sold to Stockholm.
The new owner: A man of taste, disapproved of the red and yellow specification and commissioned the car to be repainted and reupholstered to the current beautiful combination of a silver exterior paired with a brown leather interior. One could say a classier specification than the previous "Mcdonalds" red and yellow.
The Countach is everything a supercar should be: Futuristic, Fast, Impractical, Loud and an absolute must have for any serious car collection. This is a marvelous low mileage example of the rare LP400 in suitable driving condition which recently was serviced by our expert team at MOTIKON
In 2024, the car was exhibited at the Techno Classica in Essen and won the trade fair award there. The car comes with a folder with documentation dating back to the 80s.
