Introduced at the October 1971 Earls Court Motor Show, the Jensen Interceptor III shared the same striking Vignale-penned sheet metal and advanced tubular-chassis frame as its predecessors, but was readily distinguishable by its cast headlight surrounds, GKN alloy wheels and comprehensively revamped interior.

First registered on 22nd May 1974 this home market, Series III example was acquired by the vendor some forty-eight years later. Having previously restored a number of classics, he decided to extensively restore this example. The Jensen was stripped down and all necessary body repairs were treated before an extensive repaint was undertaken in Jaguar Carnival Red metallic. The interior was also treated to much work and was re-connolised rather than re-trimmed, with the addition of a new carpets. Also benefiting from a comprehensive mechanical maintenance program of which there are a number of bills on file. The seller reports that the car runs 'very well' on its upgraded Holley Carburettor. 'REE 40M' is offered for sale with various sundry bills, old MoT records, the current UK registration document, and an MoT test certificate with no advisories valid until June 2025. A true 1970s icon that looks superb in its deep red coachwork. Consigned by Daniel Godin.
