Description
"The XK8 is a grand tourer car that was launched in 1996 and was the first generation of a new XK Series available in both coupé and convertible bodystyles and with the new 4.0 litre Jaguar AJ-V8 engine. The 1998 XKR was introduced with a supercharged version of the engine. Both the XK8 and XKR are electronically limited to a maximum of 155mph; the top speed of its predecessor, the XJS V12, being 158mph. A navigation system and self-levelling Xenon headlamps came as standard with the XKR with Jaguar's adaptive cruise control as an optional feature available on both models. Both come with all leather interior, burr walnut trim and side airbags. Jeremy Clarkson, during a Top Gear test drive, likened the interior of the original XK8 to sitting inside Blenheim Palace.
Originally registered on 21st June 2007 this handsome Jaguar is fitted with the 4.2 litre supercharged V8 engine and offers brisk performance by any standards. These well-appointed cars come standard with cruise control, electrically adjusted heated seats and climate control. This black with black leather trimmed example is also fitted with satellite navigation and 20” split-rim alloy wheels. Supplied with a V5C registration document, together with a very good service history and a current MoT test certificate. This Jaguar represents the very best of British motoring at an affordable price, powered by the mighty four litre V8 which is so smooth and powerful."
