Description
The XK150, the final model in the XK range that spanned twelve years, was by far the most comfortable, and competent, touring sports Jaguar.
This is one of only 44 RHD, 3.4S Roadsters built, making it one of the most desirable of the XK range. Built in August of 1959 for Major A Lazurus, it was supplied through Weybridge Automobiles in September of that year. Finished in Mist Grey over red – the colours it is finished in today – it is fitted with the optional mechanical, gearbox tunnel mounted overdrive. The previous keeper owned it for over 40 years.
Under the watchful eye of its current owner, chassis T820050 has been the subject of a complete mechanical rebuild. This included a full engine rebuild, stripping the engine bay and detailing all the ancillaries, rebuilding the gearbox, overdrive and rear axle, fitting a complete new wiring loom, restoring the gauges, rebuilding of the original wheels and fitting new tyres.
Complete with an extensive history file, old green logbook and four decades of MOT’s, this rare, swift and comfortable XK is the collector’s choice.
