For this Jaguar XK 140 convertible bought in the early 2000s, our collector wanted it restored according to his dreams. He therefore sent it to Italy to well-known craftsmen who had already carried out several restorations for him. The file contains various invoices from 2008 to 2010 for work carried out by the Carrozzeria Granturismo Milano and totaling more than €17,000. Other invoices existed, but they have been misplaced, which is fortunately not the case of the photos detailing the complete restoration of the bodywork, with the stripping and repair of the damaged sheet metal. The interventions on the engine were also the subject of photos. The two-tone paint is of high quality. The shades recall the colors of a major French luxury brand. The passenger compartment has been completely redone in superb cream leather and the magnificent varnished wooden dashboard brings a luxurious touch which is the prerogative of this model.
Although carried out more than 10 years ago, this restoration seems to date from yesterday as its quality is high: it was obviously carried out by highly qualified craftsmen and greatly exceeds the value of the car. With its original colors, this car will stand out from the crowd while allowing regular use, thanks to its impeccable condition. In this convertible version, it is a driver's delight on country roads in good weather.
