Description
• Exceptionally original
• Delightful patina
• Matching numbers
• Few owners
The XK140 DHC is the best combination of the classic Jaguar drophead. The successor to the XK120, it retains the 120’s bodylines, yet it is a more practical car due to the increase in the interior width and legroom. The DHC also comes equipped with a proper collapsible hood and winding windows and coupled with the walnut veneer makes it a particularly inviting place to be.
This LHD example finished in Pastel Blue, with a Red leather interior and French Grey hood. The car was originally dispatched to the US and therefore benefits from a C type cylinder head which was standard for cars exported to the US.
When it returned from the US, it headed to its new owner in Europe where it has remained until now and only changing owners one more time.
The car is unmolested and presents very well with a delightful patina. The current owner has maintained the car regardless of expense whilst preserving its originality.
