The Jaguar E-type Series III stormed onto the new car scene in 1971; once again an incredibly fast E-type was available. The new Series III featured an all new 5343cc V12 engine, power steering and vented disc brakes making this E-Type a real drivers car. The Series III now had large road wheels and tyres which filled the wheel arches, a new large front intake now dominated the cars front end appearance.
Cars don’t come more evocative than Jaguar’s E-type, but steady rises in values over the past couple of years have taken the early cars out of reach for many. Luckily for discerning users the Series 3, or V12, is overlooked by many – despite being more usable in modern conditions thanks to its longer, wider body shell, increased creature comforts, and of course it has that magnificent V12 under the bonnet.
