Probably the most readily recognizable of all collector sports cars and certainly the most likely to be heading any serious addict‘s wish list is the Jaguar E Type. The XK120, 140 and 150 line was always going to be a difficult act to follow, but the E Type rapidly outsold them all. Borrowing much from the race proven technology of the legendary D Type, the first production E Type with 265bhp 3.8 litre engine from the XK150, which it directly replaced, was announced in March 1961.
