Description
We are lucky enough to broker some amazing cars, but none more exciting to me than this wonderful, freshly built Pre-’63 FIA Jaguar E-Type.
Painstakingly built by a Gentleman racer that has been fortunate enough for this to be his 4th full FIA build, and one of several E-types that he has continuously owned for over 50 years!
A regular entrant in Equipe Classic Race series, alongside the Jaguar Classic series amongst many others, you can rest assured this car has been built by a knowledgeable, talented, and successful E-type racer.
With this in mind, the more you look around the car, the more impressive the details are. From the brand new and fully labeled wiring loom, to the ingenious cooling modifications for the rear axle and brakes, it clear that the car is setup to deliver reliable and competitive running.
The engine was refreshed by Sigma Engineering in September 2024 and has completed one test day and one race (Equipe Donington late ’24) since, delivering a lap time of 1m 28 seconds.
A true 308 BHP with a great torque curve.
The gearbox is a 4-speed synchromesh box, fully built by Elite with a close ratio straight cut gear cluster mated to a single plate competition clutch.
The differential is a 3.54 ratio with a Quaife limited slip unit fitted.
Dampers are by AVO, and the torsion bars are lightweight items from Jeremy Welch.
Brakes are standard as per FIA requirements, but have upgraded aluminium pistons, with Endless brake pads, non-servo assisted.
This car remains road registered and comes with a UK V5, a Jaguar certificate of authenticity, and most importantly FIA papers that are valid until 31/12/2034.
If you are looking to seriously compete in an E-Type, then look no further.
