Description
When discussing iconic Japanese cars of the 1970s, you cannot forget about the Isuzu 117 Coupe. The 117 Coupe was a best-selling car for 13 years, securing a loyal fanbase.
The beauty of the design is most likely what captured the hearts of so many. The elegant fender lines drawn on the front and rear wheel arches create a unique look. The Isuzu 117 Coupe was designed by Italian car designer G. Giugiaro, who duly created a car that was unlike any other on the Japanese car market. In the early years, most of the work was done manually in order to ensure the car was as designed. Once machine press molding that was authentic to the original forms was possible, mass production was adopted.
This car is the final model made in 1980, the XD-L model equipped with a 2.2 litre diesel engine. The XD-L appears as one of the 117 Coupe luxury models and is very rare considering it was only in production for one year. The odometer reads 113,786km. The condition of the engine system is good, and the vehicle inspection certificate is valid until March 2023. The Chamonix White exterior has an elegance like that of a European car. The interior has a mahogany design and seats reminiscent of a luxury sofa. As was popular in the 1980s, the wheels are Bridgestone SPINTO 71.
While there are some changes that have been made throughout the years, the car maintains much of the originality that solidifies its status as a running work of art.
