HISTORY/OVERVIEW
The Innocenti Nuova Mini is a car produced from 1974 to 1993 by the Italian car manufacturer Innocenti.
In 1976, with the transfer of Innocenti to the De Tomaso group, a larger 120 version was proposed with a sporty characterization and the new commercial name of Mini De Tomaso. In 1984 this example was the subject of an experimental conversion by the "Contro G&F" workshop in Bassano del Grappa which transformed the original engine into a Turbo powered Diesel, in the wake of the success of the Golf TD of those years. After construction, it was used as a "Van" version as a specialized assistance for cars of the De Tomaso and Maserati groups.
EXTERNAL
The bodywork is solid and in the original Red colour. It has been repainted at an unknown date, a professional detailing and polishing treatment has just been completed and this rare mini looks shiny and clean. A feeler gauge test showed no accidents.
The underbody has never been restored, it has no welds but is in solid original condition
INTERNAL
The interiors are original and well preserved, as are the Innocenti carpet and the original marked carpets.
The dashboard is completely original and in good condition, with all the details present. The door panels are as original as the seats.
MECHANICS
Mechanically the car has been on static display for many years, the brakes are not locked and the engine runs freely but needs to be restarted.
