- A favourite Holden model
The popular and well-loved Holden EH was released in 1963 as a replacement for the outgoing EJ series. Visually it was similar to the EJ with the major design difference being the removal of the rear fins and rounding of the rear guards. The Premier was their top of the range model and featured two-tone paint scheme, Hydramatic transmission, leather interior, bucket seats, fold down centre armrest in the back seat, carpets, metallic paint, centre console incorporating a heater/demister, diamond dot radio, handbrake warning light and chrome plated wheel trims.
The EH would become the first Holden model to offer the new “Red” 179ci 2.9L 6-cylinder engine and produced 115bhp This was a significant upgrade from the old and tired “Grey” motor that had been used in Holden's previous 7 models.
This Holden EH Premier was first sold new in 1963 by United Motors Limited Adelaide, South Australia.
Still fitted with its matching numbered engine this car is one for the astute collector.
Painted in the Premier metallic colour scheme in the desirable Roebuck Pearl with a Flowers Ivory roof with a contracting red leather interior.
A classy combination this car is in original condition as it left the factory with no modifications other than modern safety belts.
Sold with its original Dealer stamped sales and service booklet Owner's Manual, Early service receipts, Valvoline lubrication guaranty paperwork and previous registration papers.
A fine example of the favoured Premier EH that will make a great cruiser and increasing asset.
