Developed to counter the Chevrolet Corvette, the Ford Thunderbird was in fact a comfortable, high-performance convertible closer to the grand touring spirit than to the radical sports car. Heavier but more luxurious and comfortable than its Corvette rival, the T-bird is powered by a powerful 225bhp V8.

The model we are presenting is an original French car, imported by the Ford France garage at 35, Rue Bassano in Paris when it left the factory in the United States in 1956. The car is in beautiful original condition with options such as the Continental Kit, electric windows, electric bench seat and automatic gearbox. The original paintwork is in good condition, with a rare patina that adds to its charm.
The interior has been redone, identical to the original, as has the soft top, which is now in beautiful condition. The original V8 engine has been maintained over the years and kept in good working order. During our test drive, the car proved to be smooth and pleasant to drive.
