A copy of an invoice from the Ford Tremblez garage in Thorembais-Saint-Trond, north of Namur, confirms that this car was purchased by Baudouin Lempereur in February 1991.
It had previously had only one owner, a lady living in Andenne. The registration in her name, dating from January 1987, comes with the car. A relative of Baudouin Lempereur, a great specialist in competition Ford Escorts, was at that time the foreman in this same Ford garage and remembers when this car entered the collection in 1991.
He confirmed that it was then in good condition and has not been repainted since.
Today, this Sierra RS Cosworth is in rare original condition for such a model. Inside, the original cloth seats are neither faded nor wrinkled, and the dashboard does not show any cracks. It is equipped with a car radio which was installed in 1990 by the Ford Lescot garage, as can be seen by an invoice included in the file, as well as a Bosch alarm. All the controls are in good condition and the only notable defect concerns the leather of the steering wheel, which deserves to be re-tinted. The carpets are very well preserved. The model was luxurious enough at the time to merit power windows and mirrors. The odometer today shows 15,920 km and, while this mileage cannot be attested as it is a five-digit odometer, what is certain is that this example of the Sierra Cosworth is one of the finest available on the market. And it is ready to impress with its astounding acceleration.
