Ford's Mustang triggered competition from every major car company, creating the "ponycar" class overnight. Part of Mustang's appeal – in addition to its trim size and sparkling performance – was the broad options list. A buyer could specify anything from a bare bones six-cylinder coupe to a top of the line fully equipped convertible – as offered here.

A true GT, not a catalog creation, this stunning example of Ford's first pony car comes finished in Rangoon Red over the black deluxe Pony interior. Treated to a complete nut-and-bolt restoration from 2005 to 2007 with no expenses spared, the car performs now every bit as well as it looks.

The original A-code 289 4bbl has been treated to the engine dress-up option, with chrome valve covers and air cleaner. The interior features the optional full-length console, power convertible top with boot, and wood-grain accents. Other features are the GT-specific fog lamps, dual exhaust, and rally pac.
