Initially presented at the Detroit Motor Show in 2015, the Ford GT was the conceived as the successor to the 2005 model which has for the first time seen a Ford product compared with contemporary offerings from Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini.
The car presented in 2015 was in many ways far more technologically advanced than its predecessor with a full carbon fibre body and 660 hp mid-mounted V6 engine, what is more a true competition version was also produced in time for the anniversary of Ford’s triple 1966 Le Mans victory, with the Ford Chip Ganassi Team USA entry taking victory in the LMGTE class. For the first time since the 1960s a few lucky customers could truly buy a road going version of a Le Mans winner from the Detroit marque.
Following the success of the launch model, in the Autumn of 2018 Ford announced the Carbon Series which was conceived to sit between the standard GT and the full-blown Competition Series cars, in a model line-up which is analogous to the Porsche 918 and 918 Weissach. Cosmetically the Carbon Series incorporated exposed carbon elements including 20-inch exposed carbon wheels, polycarbonate rear hatch panel as well titanium exhaust. In the end some 18 kg of weight savings were found, allowing the Carbon Series to be more than a simple branding exercise.

Our Ford GT Carbon Series was among the first deliveries of the new model. Delivered new to Germany the car has been used sparingly with only 260 km showing on the odometer.
The car was optioned with an extensive list of options, most importantly including the highly desirable ‘Dark Energy Interior’ package.
