Description

Chassis No. 2FAGP9CW9JH100101

Engineered by a meticulously chosen team, the Ford GT was crafted covertly inside the confines of the Ford Product Development Center. Here, they engineered a cutting-edge carbon fiber monocoque chassis with state-of-the-art aerodynamics intended to first go racing and, if approved by those at Ford, the tantalizing possibility for the public to purchase a true racing car for the road. What fans of fast Fords didn't expect was a rigorous application process by The Blue Oval, requiring prospective buyers to demonstrate a history of brand loyalty, with a side of social influence and commitment to promoting the GT. Well over 6,500 individuals applied to purchase a Ford GT, yet less than 20 percent of these eager applicants received a positive response from Ford. So, it is highly likely, that upon receiving a positive response to their application letter on 3 January 2017, that the first owner of this 2018 Ford GT was celebrating a very Happy New Year.

After consulting the carbon fiber-housed Design Spec Ordering Kit the original owner, noted to be a Ford Executive Vice President at the time, created a highly bespoke GT. The window sticker lists $96,950 worth of factory extras across a number of desirable packages and individual options. Lightning Blue was chosen as the exterior color, selected from the GT's Extended Color Palette 2 for an additional $10,000 with optional Ingot Silver Overtop Stripes. A well-matched set of 20 inch painted in Satin Diamond Silver, Matte Exterior Carbon Fiber Package, Red painted Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, and a Ford GT indoor car cover complete the exterior options. Interested in reducing weight and providing a more raucous exhaust note, the $10,000 Titanium Exhaust by Akrapovič was selected. Furthermore, Equipment Group 300A was selected for $25,000 adding the GT's Light Speed interior trim, covering the cockpit with a mix of black leather and blue microsuede surfaces over the fixed Sparco seats with manually reclinable carbon-fiber shells that work in harmony with the optional leather-wrapped carbon fiber steering wheel and exterior color selections.

The GT was delivered though Pat Milliken Ford of Redford, Michigan with 10 delivery miles in June of 2018 and two months after delivery the car received a full paint protection treatment utilizing XPEL Ultimate film applied by Motor City Solutions. In addition, stealth film is noted to cover the sills and kick plates with 10 mil thick film covering the headlights, fog lights, and wheel lip moldings. The clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report maintains its single owner status and at the time of cataloging, this well-ordered and preserved Ford GT features a scant 147 miles at cataloging on its 10 inch-wide digital instrument display and, as expected, is offered in excellent, like-new condition. With production of this highly-collectible hypercar ending late last year, this GT offers the dedicated enthusiast not only an unexpected opportunity of acquiring Ford's finest hypercar in its purest, most exceptional form but one offered from a single owner, in a unique finish, with many of its original delivery items as well.
