Sold new the day before Christmas in 1970 by Wright Ford in Sydney, this XY-model Falcon GT has been full restored and presents superbly. The only one manufactured in this build specification, the GT was delivered in Monza Green with Saddle trim, and fitted with a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, wind-back sunroof, and delete body stripes and ‘Super Roo’ logos. Now in the hands of its seventh owner, this very-desirable XY Falcon presents superbly throughout thanks to an outstanding restoration that has seen the iconic GT stripes and logos reinstated on refreshed Monza Green paintwork. The body chrome and stainless is excellent too, so too the interior with its new Saddle vinyl over black carpets, a ‘Super Fringe’ radio in the dash (not original to the car) and great detailing. A left-hand exterior mirror has also been added and it sits on six-slotter wheels fitted with redline tyres, while a set of ‘Super Roo’ driving light covers are a nice finishing touch. According to the extensive ICAARS report, this is a matching body/engine numbers car. It comes with its ICAARS report including a ACCHS verification, and its receipts and documents since 1990. In a great colour combination, in superb condition, this XY GT is bound to excite a great deal of interest wherever it goes.
