General overhaul necessary
The Fiat 521 was a steel-built car model produced by Fiat from 1928 to 1931. Directly derived from the '520' model, it retained many of its construction features, limiting innovations to bodywork, equipment and colours. It was equipped with a water-cooled straight-six engine and came with a short or long wheelbase chassis, the latter measuring 3,140 mm. The 2,516 cm³ hexacylindrical engine produced 51 hp at 3,400 rpm.

In addition to the production versions, many coachbuilders tried their hand at these chassis, producing multiple versions, including some fine coupés and cabriolets. The instrumentation is fairly complete with a tachometer, clock, petrol and oil level gauges and in some versions an outside temperature thermometer.

The wonderful model we present to you has been entirely restored, new soft top, reupholstered interior, chassis, engine, all restored by the owner in a years-long passion. It is part of a rich collection of classic cars with attention to the most hidden details. It has not been used for a few years (although the engine has been run in regularly) and now needs a general overhaul and a complete service and may require unplanned mechanical work.
