The Fiat 1500 was a revolutionary car, not only for the Italian car industry but above all for the international car industry. Presented at the Milan Motor Show in November 1935, it was distinguished by the elegant and aerodynamic design of the great designer Mario Revelli of Beaumont. Powered by the refined 1500 hp six-cylinder, it was nicknamed the 'car of elegance and silence'. Carrozzeria Viotti, renowned for its avant-garde styling solutions, prepared a small series in cabriolet version on the chassis of the already acclaimed saloon. In 1937, two cabriolets participated in the Mille Miglia, driven by the crews Bianco/Gnoli and Ceschina/Guagnellini, who raced under the respective race numbers 91 and 81.
This 1937 example is one of the very rare Viotti Cabriolets that has survived the vicissitudes of the Second World War and a long period of oblivion by enthusiasts. Professionally restored, it has been in the same private collection for years. In 2017 it participated in the historic Mille Miglia, distinguishing itself for its beautiful lines, still elegant and sought-after. Well maintained over the years and ready for use, it is a car that will be the pride of any future owner.
