The timing belt kit was redone at 38,000 km, the tyres and the Challenger Tubi Style silencer (we have the original one) were replaced at 42,500 km, the petrol pumps and their seals were replaced at 43,500 km.

VALEO
This car is equipped with the rare Valeo transmission. 1993 was the last year of production of the Mondial and this car has the latest chassis number of the series (ZFFKD32B000097698).
The Valeo transmission was the precursor of Ferrari’s F1 gearbox technology and was initially produced as an experiment.

Ferrari produced a handful of Mondial units (about 3 Coupés), in collaboration with the French car company Valeo, featuring a unique transmission system.
Valeo cars have a 5-speed transmission but don’t have a clutch pedal because the clutch is electromechanically operated.

This unique system is considered extremely reliable, and was produced for both the Mondial coupés and convertibles. Valeo also produced a similar gearbox for a single F40 for Gianni Agnelli.

Due to problems with the Valeo control unit, the car has been converted to a manual gearbox, waiting for an improbable repair of the control unit itself.
Therefore, the car is equipped with a manual transmission at the moment, but all the Valeo transmission components are present.
The spare parts used for the switch from automatic to manual transmission are original Ferrari parts and Valeo ones are in our possession.

They can be used if the Valeo control unit can be repaired if you want to return to the automatic transmission.
