Description
Following in the footsteps of the Enzo-based Ferrari FXX Evo and the 599 XX Evo, the Ferrari FXXK Evo was launched in 2017 as the ultimate track toy for private clients. Only 40 Ferrari FXX Ks were built to be entered in the Corse Cliente programme, and even fewer became Evos. Performance figures for the car are breathtaking, even in today's world of EV hypercars, with its 65-degree mounted V12 making 848 horsepower, while 187 electric ponies hit you like a bolt of lightning from Ferrari’s HY-KERS system, bringing the total figure to a blistering 1,036 horses. For a car that is now 7 years old, that is mightily impressive. The FXX K Evo isn't just all power, too, as Ferrari claims the FXX K laps its 1.862-mile Fiorano test circuit in 1 minute, 14 seconds, a whole five seconds quicker than a LaFerrari!
This particular example got us dreaming since we first saw it at FuoriConcorso Aero in 2023. Built in December 2018 and painted in the alluring shade of “Grigio Alloy”, it is one of the very few Evo models built by the factory. The majority of today's Evos were upgraded using an Evo kit. Less than 10 cars were delivered from the factory as new Evos. Furthermore, it is the only car in this livery without a racing number. The exceptional e Ferrari was never moved, but went straight into a well-known Ferrari collection where it was perfectly preserved in new-car condition until this day.
As the world of hypercars seems to find new ways to reach unlawful speeds before snatching second gear, the FXX K Evo was one step ahead of the hype. It is a car that looks like it was released at Goodwood's Festival of Speed this year to a roaring crowd, its power is relentless, with figures only a handful of current hypercars can rival. Combine all of that into a menacing and yet sophisticated package such as this example, and the result is a certified future classic!
