Description

Chassis No. ZFFKW64A190164790

The term Scuderia is inextricably linked with the Scuderia Ferrari Formula One Team – the oldest and winningest constructor in the history of the sport. In 2007, following an immense period of success in the early 2000s, the Scuderia bounced back from the challenge posed by Renault from 2005-2006, securing both the Drivers' and Constructors' Championships after McLaren's disqualification due to the infamous "Spygate" espionage scandal. That summer, a new road car based on the F430 was unveiled by Michael Schumacher at an event in Frankfurt as the 430 Scuderia, with its name signaling the link between the new model and the Prancing Horse's championship-winning Formula One single-seaters

The seven-time Formula One World Champion was instrumental in the Scuderia's development, culminating in a lighter, more powerful, track-oriented version of Maranello's eight-cylinder model. Power was up from 483 horsepower to 503 horsepower thanks to an improved intake manifold and a lightweight sports exhaust similar to that in the F430 Challenge racer. Approximately 220 pounds were shed through the extensive use of carbon fiber, plastic composite bumpers, a Lexan engine cover, and a spartan interior lacking carpets or floor mats for an extraordinary power-to-weight ratio of 6.1 pounds per horsepower. In conjunction with its sophisticated aerodynamics, F1 SuperFast2 transmission and E-Diff coupled with the race-derived F1-Trac traction control system, the focused new model combined ultra-precise handling with remarkable acceleration.

Completed in November 2008, this U.S.-market 430 Scuderia was classically specified in Rosso Corsa paintwork complemented by optional Grigio Corsa racing stripes ($8,264) and Red-finished brake calipers ($1,040). The original window sticker also notes that the Alcantara and synthetic Tessuto (woven) fabric-trimmed interior was additionally equipped with iPod connectivity ($838). Its original Warranty and Service Book shows that the Scuderia was delivered on 7 February 2009 through Miller Motor Cars Inc. in Greenwich, Connecticut, to Joseph Brown of Bedford Corners, New York.

Subsequent registration history indicates that the Ferrari remained with its original owner until late 2011, when it passed to Thomas Isaacs of New Jersey with approximately 1,500 miles. Isaacs would drive the Scuderia sparingly and entrust the car to New Vernon Coach & Motor Works for full fluid changes in December of 2012 and 2013. The accompanying CARFAX Vehicle History Report indicates that the low-mileage Ferrari was then relocated to Florida by early 2016 under new ownership, where it continued to receive regular maintenance at Ferrari of Central Florida and Mike Ferran Automotive in Jacksonville, Florida – invoices for which are on file. This includes a service in July 2019 at 4,138 miles which involved replacing the F1 pump relay and pressure accumulator at a cost of just under $10,000.

Currently showing just 7,308 miles at the time of cataloging, this superb track-ready Ferrari is offered with a full complement of original factory accessories, including owner's manuals in their leather folio, two keys, a battery tender, a tire inflator, and a tool kit. As the ultimate road-going iteration of the F430 platform, this 430 Scuderia is ready to be enjoyed for its blistering performance whether thrilling on the road or dominating the track.
