Description

The F430 Spider is the convertible version of the F430 sports car, successor to the Ferrari 360. Although the F430 shares many traits with the 360, its development resulted in significant styling and performance revisions. Designed by Pininfarina using the same aerodynamic simulations utilized for Formula 1 cars, the F430 not only offered greater aerodynamic efficiency and increased downforce than its predecessor, its new 4.3-liter V-8 engine supplied increased horsepower and acceleration. The Spider variant, which was unveiled a year after the coupe, features a power-assisted, two-stage, folding roof panel, which retracts into a space ahead of the engine bay. Remarkably, both the interior space and performance of the Spider are nearly identical with only about 3 mph difference in top speed.

This 2006 Ferrari F430 Spider, attractively finished in Tour de France Blue, features a blue soft top and beige leather interior. Desirably equipped with the traditional gated six-speed manual gearbox, additional factory options include Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, red brake calipers and carbon ceramic rotors, power-adjustable Daytona-style bucket seats, upholstery-matching roll bar, a leather rear shelf, black dashboard, carbon fiber trim, and a hi-fi stereo system with subwoofer. Factory 19" Challenge wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires were also recently mounted. With a combination of performance and styling, this stunning and extremely well-optioned F430 Spider is a worthy consideration for those who relish an open-air driving experience.
