Description

  • One of just 10 599 GTBs delivered to Europe fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox
  • Among the last front-engined, manual transmission V-12 Ferraris built
  • Finished in the elegant shade of Blu Mirabeau, with the interior upholstered in Cuoio leather and matching Nuovo Cuoio carpets
  • Accompanied by invoices, specification sheet, and warranty and service books

Making its debut in February 2006 at the Geneva International Motor Show, the 599 GTB replaced the outgoing 575M Maranello. It was powered by an exhilarating 6.0-litre V-12 powerplant—a development of the engine first used in the Enzo. Cradled in an all-new chassis and with 612 horsepower, it afforded the grand tourer supercar-like performance. The 599 GTB was more than a match for iconic supercars such as the F40, while also offering a luxurious cabin perfect for long-distance touring—fitting qualities for a flagship Ferrari gran turismo.

Leaving the factory in March 2008, this 599 GTB was delivered new to Joest Racing in Wald-Michelbach, Germany, via the supplying dealer Lueg Sportivo of Düsseldorf. As one of only 10 examples delivered new to Europe fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox, this was an extremely rare 599. The exterior colour matched the rarity of the drivetrain, with Ferrari dressing the body in the stunning colour of Blu Mirabeau. Inside, the interior was trimmed in Cuoio coloured leather with matching carpets. A well-optioned example, this 599 was equipped with Daytona seats complemented by a matching dashboard, rear shelf, and steering wheel—each a cost extra. Even the wheels were painted in a special-order colour, making the specification of this Ferrari extremely rare and highly desirable.

On 30 May 2008, this 599 was registered by the first owner in Monaco. The car remained in the south of France until 2015, as indicated by multiple stamps in the warranty card and service book. By July 2015, the car had covered just under 5,500 kilometres. The current owner acquired this special Ferrari in late 2015, and the car passed a Spanish inspection on 24 November 2015. The 599 was routinely serviced by Ferrari of Madrid according to factory guidance, and was last serviced by a Ferrari dealer in September 2020. The vehicle is accompanied by service invoices that exceed €12,000, and benefits from a Spanish ITV inspection issued on 8 March 2022. The odometer reads 13,968 kilometres at the time of cataloguing.

As one of just 10 manual transmission 599 GTBs delivered to Europe, this 599 presents an opportunity to acquire one of the last front-engined, manual transmission V-12 Ferraris ever built. Offered in what is arguably one of the best specified examples of its type.
