One of just 559 Superamericas constructed, this example was delivered new to prominent historic racer and collector, Francesco Baldanza. Ordered via Milanese Ferrari Agent Rosso Corsa Srl, the Ferrari was finished in Argento Nürburgring with a Bordeaux leather interior. As one of the most desirable options for a Superamerica, the car was equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox, further enhanced by the coveted GTC handling package. This included the fitment of carbon ceramic brakes, a high-ratio steering rack, split-rim 19-inch wheels, and a titanium race-specification exhaust.
Other factory options included carbon fibre instrument and auxiliary panels, while a carbon fibre steering wheel and a body-coloured filler cap were fitted in place of the usual polished aluminium item. Additionally, a set of stylish Schedoni luggage was procured.
The car’s recommended 10,000-kilometre service was carried out by Rosso Corsa of Milan in December 2008. A change in Signore Baldanza’s circumstances, however, meant that the Ferrari was moved to his British home in 2012, which required re-registration the car in the UK. As well as the administrative formalities, the car was converted with an imperial instrument cluster and right-hand drive headlights. All work was performed by leading Ferrari specialist Bob Houghton Limited at a cost of over £11,000.
In December 2015, ownership passed to a Belgian collector in whose custody the car was returned to metric instrumentation and fitted with left-hand-drive headlights. Despite covering only minimal mileage, the car was fastidiously maintained, with all servicing and maintenance performed by Ferrari and Maserati agents F.M.A nv of Wijnegem. The total expenditure in this ownership amounted to some €17,218. Chassis 147543 passed into the hands of its third owner in October 2021, and has since been used sparingly. The odometer reads 15,084 kilometres at the time of cataloguing.
Lavishly appointed, impeccably maintained, and beautifully presented, this ultimate specification Superamerica is accompanied by its car cover and toolkit, further to the Schedoni luggage set.
Please note, this Ferrari received an annual service with renewed timing belts in January 2023.
Veuillez noter que cette Ferrari a bénéficié en janvier 2023 de son entretien annuel, qui s'est accompagné d'un remplacement de ses courroies de distribution.
