Description
"Launched in 2002 the 575 ‘Modificata’ Maranello was essentially an updated 550. These updates and improvements included a redesigned interior and enhanced mechanics. It is fitted with bigger brake discs, a larger more powerful engine, improved weight distribution, refined aerodynamics and an adaptive suspension set up. Two six-speed transmissions were available, a conventional manual gearbox and, for the first time on a Ferrari V12, a semi-automatic ‘F1’gearbox.
This absolutely stunning 575M is offered, in our opinion, in the very best colour combination of Tour De France Blue with Tan leather trim and features the optional leather rear shelf. Purchased from H R Owen, this was a well specified car which, when new, cost £138,725 plus £3,630 of extras. This Maranello has since been serviced with only Ferrari main agents – H R Owen, Graypaul, Dick Lovett and, of late, Meridian Modena who last serviced the car at 29,555 miles. Important invoices include one for new brake discs at 23,000 miles, a new F1 actuator and clutch at 25,000 miles with Graypaul and the F1 pipes and brake fluid changed at 29,050 miles. The car is supplied with a full car cover, importantly a full Ferrari toolkit, leather wallet and book pack even boasting the original Ferrari torch, together with an extensive history file and of course two keys. A fantastic example of a well owned and cared for and extremely desirable front-engine V12 Ferrari.
