Daytona Automobil presents this exceptional 1996 Ferrari F512 M, the final and most refined iteration of the legendary Testarossa lineage. Delivered new to its first owner on January 4, 1996, by Wichelhausen Ferrari in Hamburg, this German-market car later found its way to Italy before being acquired by us.
Finished in the highly rare Nero (Ferrari 1240 DS) over a matching Nero leather interior, this example is believed to be one of just 19 F512 Ms worldwide in this striking paint. The F512 M introduced key design updates, including fixed headlights, round taillights, and a front end inspired by Ferrari’s racing pedigree, evoking elements from the F40 and 512 BB LM.
The car retains a well-documented service history, with early maintenance performed at its original selling dealer in 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, and 2000. Additional servicing was carried out by Ferrari specialists in 2003, 2005, and 2008. The most recent major service, including timing belt replacement, was performed on August 17, 2020, at 85,360 km. Since then, the car has been driven only 368 km and has been stored in a private collection. Given the elapsed time, we strongly recommend a mechanical overhaul if the next owner intends to drive the car extensively, which we can facilitate at an estimated cost of €10,000–€15,000.
The car is believed to have had some panels repainted, likely due to minor wear such as stone chips. There are no indications of accident damage, and the quality of the repaint is of a very high standard. It retains its original factory specification, apart from a Tubi Style catback exhaust, which enhances the sound while keeping the original catalytic converters intact. If Ferrari Classiche certification is desired, the exhaust would need to be reverted to stock.
With only 501 units produced globally, the F512 M represents the final chapter in Ferrari’s flat-12 supercar legacy. Its rarity, particularly in this full Nero specification, makes it highly desirable for collectors. This example presents a unique opportunity to acquire a well-documented and strikingly specified F512 M, ready for its next caretaker.
