MODEL HISTORY

The introduction of the 488 Pista marked a huge leap in performance. By changing the intake system, the V8 engine with a smaller displacement is now supported by two turbochargers. While the Speciale was unrivalled with 597 hp, the Pista with turbocharger achieves an output of 720 hp and thus enables extreme speed. The 3.9-litre V8 is equipped with a lighter flywheel, titanium connecting rods, lightweight cylinder liners and new valves and valve springs. The changes to the engine alone account for 18 kg of the weight loss. Peak power between 6,750 rpm and the 8,000 rpm limiter is fantastic for a turbocharged engine. The 568 lb/ft of torque is electronically controlled depending on gear selection, allowing for a more linear power delivery.
The Piloti series was introduced by Ferrari and only available to their most special clients at the time who had an engagement in customer racing. Therefore, the amount of people who were able to purchase this model new was quite limited already. As a consequence the 488 Pista Piloti is - without being numbered - one of the rarest modern era Ferrari model variations. Already today the 488 Pista Piloti can be classified as a future collector car.

ABOUT THIS 488 Pista Piloti:
This particular Ferrari 488 Pista Piloti has been built in June 2020 and was delivered new to its first owner in Switzerland in July 2020. From factory the car is finished in the classic Rosso Corsa paintwork incl. the contrasting painted livery over an Alcantara Nera interior which emphasises its attractive and aggressive personality. A lovely tough in the interior and exterior are the various „Tricolore“ themed details which can be found in the painted exterior livery of this car as well as in the seat pattern and also the shift paddles.
