Description
The Ferrari 458 Italia, unveiled at the 2009 Frankful Motor Show, stands as a pinnacle of Ferrari’s mid-engine sports car legacy. Designed by Donato Coco at Pininfarina, it represented a quantum leap from its predecessor, the F430, boasting a sleek and aerodynamic body that combined form with function. At its heart roared a 4.5-liter V8 engine, delivering an impressive 562 horsepower and a spine-tingling exhaust note that encapsulated Ferrari’s racing pedigree. The 458 Italia quickly gained acclaim for its razor-sharp handling, blistering acceleration, and luxurious interior, setting new benchmarks in the supercar realm.
Building upon the success of the 458 Italia, Ferrari introduced the 458 Speciale in 2013, a variant that pushed performance boundaries even further. With enhancements focused on weight reduction, aerodynamics, and power, the Speciale epitomized Ferrari’s commitment to engineering excellence. Its uprated 4.5-liter V8 engine delivered 597 horsepower, catapulting it from 0 to 60 mph in just 3 seconds. The 458 Speciale’s track-focused design included advanced aerodynamic aids, such as active aerodynamics and underbody vortex generators, maximizing downforce and stability at high speeds.
This particular car, a two-owner Speciale, is a Gulf specification that has been serviced by a Ferrari dealer all its life. Equipped with the optional telemetry package, this car received its latest service in February 2024. Sporting just under 29,000 kilometres, this is a mechanically sound, cosmetically superb Speciale that is ready to enjoy straight out of the showroom, and be a collector piece for further appreciation in one of Pininfarina’s very last collaborations with the House of the Prancing Horse.
