Description
The debut of the first-generation 456 GT took place on September 24, 1992, amidst the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the Écurie Francorchamps in Belgium. Filling a gap in the lineup since the discontinuation of the 412 in 1989, this new 2+2 model exudes both elegance and athleticism, achieving a top speed surpassing 300 km/h. At the 1998 Geneva Motor Show, an evolution was unveiled, adding an 'M' to its name. The front underwent slight redesigning, featuring a more plunging hood crafted from carbon fiber and an expanded grille housing integrated headlights. At the rear, a variable-incidence spoiler integrated into the bumper made its appearance. Finally, the interior ergonomics were revised with rounded forms.
Throughout their lifecycle, both generations of the 456 were produced in a total of 3,289 units. The one in question is among the 688 units of the M GT variant equipped with a manual gearbox. It comes from France, delivered on the first day by the Charles Pozzi in Levallois-Perret, on the outskirts of Paris. Several works have been carried out on this car in 2024, including a comprehensive treatment of plastics and leather, and replacement of the front hood struts. Additionally, a recent service has been performed, knowing that the timing belt was replaced at 49,100 km in 2018. The maintenance booklet, the hi-fi system manual along with Ferrari Direct Line in their original pouch, alarm codes, and the billing history are also included.
