Description

Produced between 1999 and 2005, the Ferrari 360 was the successor to the well-loved Ferrari F355, and to this day enjoys a loyal fanbase among Ferrari and supercar enthusiasts. With its Pininfarina-penned flowing lines, the 360 marked a significant design shift away from the angular nature of the F355, along with enjoying a lower unsprung weight, more powerful engine and an all-aluminium space-frame chassis which was reported to be 40% stiffer than its predecessors. The Modena was the first model to arrive in 1999, but the Spider was hot on its heels, being unveiled at the 2000 Geneva Motor Show. Due to the mechanics of the retracting roof, significant engineering changes were required for the Spider version, including enlarging the side air intakes and moving the inlet manifolds towards the centre of the engine.

Offered here is a lovely low mileage Ferrari 360 Spider supplied new to the UK and specified with F1 paddle-shift transmission, Argento metallic silver paintwork and a Blu Scuro leather interior with matching carpets and hood. The clean HPI certificate shows two previous keepers prior to 2016 when our vendor purchased the Ferrari from his business partner. Only enjoyed on sunny days and dry stored correctly in a heated garage or professional storage facility today this example indicates just under 7,500 miles, presents beautifully and is offered complete with its history file, tool kit and tyre inflator. It's been diligently maintained by the local Ferrari main agent and invoices within the file show routine maintenance and a cam and auxiliary belt change at 6,391 miles.

Rarely do examples of the Ferrari 360 come to market in such well-preserved condition and a tasteful colour combination that makes a refreshing change from red with cream. The 360 is a great looking modern classic that is fast becoming sought after and if you are to use your sports car only on sunny days, then let it be a drop-top Ferrari. This is a car in which you would be proud to arrive at any function, having enjoyed that glorious Ferrari V8 soundtrack on the way there, and, if the function were to prove a little boring, the drive home could be the high-spot of your day.
