Description

The 360 Modena was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 1999 as the successor to the F355.

Its aerodynamic styling is unique, but its most significant feature is that it is the first Ferrari road car to use a full aluminium monocoque chassis. All components, including the chassis, bodyshell and some suspension materials, were made of aluminium and the car weighed 1290 kg. the chassis was assembled in the same CNC workstation as the F50.
Although larger in body size than its predecessor, the F355, it not only succeeded in reducing its weight by nearly 30%, but was also far more rigid. It was the best performing mid-ship car of its time. The styling was the 163rd Ferrari designed by Pininfarina and combined elements of classic Ferraris such as the 268SP, 250LM and Dino.

The heart of the car is a V8 engine mounted in the mids, with a maximum output of 400 hp. Weight has been reduced in relation to the engine, with most cast parts made from lightweight alloys. The transmission was a choice between the F1matic, which was introduced with the F355, and a manual transmission.

Once driven with the windows open, the V8 Ferrari sound is unmistakable, but with the windows closed, the comfort of the car is surprising. The interior space is spacious and not at all oppressive. The rear section is also designed to carry a golf bag, although it cannot accommodate a person.

The 360 Modena presented here is a Modena imported into Japan as a new parallel. The main distribution in Japan is the F1, but this one is a MT, and moreover, it is a single-owner. The record book from the first 1000 km inspection is still in place and there is not a single tool missing.
Both interior and exterior are in extremely good condition, and it is clear that this car has been well cared for. It is also important to note that it has the optional electric seats. With power steering, ABS and air conditioning, this neo-classic Ferrari is perfect for day-to-day driving and I have a feeling that it is about to boom.
